It is a sad story.  My father received shoddy service at the same VA Hospital in the 80s.  By brother got the same bad service lately.  My advice  to any vet is to get covered by private insurance so you can avoid VA hospitals.  My advice to liberals-  this is what single payer health care looks like!

I have a close friend I've known for almost 35 years. He developed a drinking problem. As I talked with him concerning "WHY" did you start drinking? He told me that he had been taking a anti-depressant medication for about five years and was doing good. The VA changed his Doctor and the new Dr just cut him off the meds. He started to drink trying to get rid of the dreams and the seeing of the faces of the men he lost in Viet Nam. Another friend called the VA and talked with them on how "we" could help our friend. He was told to brink him to the Emergency room of the VA hospital and they would admit him. He was taken to the VA Hospital, Decatur, Ga and the nurse and a psychologist admitted him. About this time a Medical Doctor comes in and says our friend does not not meet the criteria to be admitted. The Doctor was told and could see our friend has the shakes, has a problem standing and is begging for help. The Doctor refused to admit him and sends him home with some vitamins.

Now I know why so many Veterans are taking their life. That was a true story.
I'll give this election a chance before I just totally give up and throw in the towel.
When they re-elected Victor Hill, I pretty much gave up on Clayton County. Have not paid much attention to who is running.
I voted early in the run-off election as a Republican. I did not see Edmundson"s name on the ballot

I see the law had not effected everyone. I still see way too many people texting and driving

There is a state law which currently bans testing and emailing.  The new law coming July 1 is stricter because it prohibits holding the phone or putting it in your lap.  I predict this will not deter the texters.  They will just use a phone-holder while texting.

In this county the law will do no good. We already have a no text law in Clayton, right? People here are glued to their phones. If an implant was available, they would surely get it done.

in the past few days it seems that more people are texting and driving. Yesterday in a 7 mile stretch I saw 9 drivers testing and driving. (most were not paying attention to the roadway). Maybe with the new law the roads will be safer.

Another observation, why do people think I want to listen to their music? turn down that loud crap!.

Ok I'll shut up
